September 2009
Sorry for not posting any news
for such a long time but we have certainly not been
sitting on our laurels.
The last few months have been
our busiest ever with more basses being made & new
dealers opening up.
Thank you for all your upbuilding
comments on the Enfields, especially the new Enfield
owners who have been sending in there positive feedback.
We’ve uploaded the website
with new pics in the Galley as well as streamlining
things to make it easer to navigate the site.
We’re looking forward to seeing
everyone at Music Live on the 6th 7th & 8th of November.
We’ll be there with some great
examples on show so come over & have a go. We also
have a few demo basses available that are not for
sale but are available to be sent out on tryout if
anyone is curious as to how the Enfield’s feel & sound.
You can now pop down to Graham
at Bass World (contact details on the Dealers page)
in Tonbridge Wells as he has one 5 & two 4 string
Enfields in stock & ready for delivery.
Speak soon & keep the tone
coming. Martin.
January 2009
NAMM proved very worth wile
this year with new tonewood suppliers established
as well as furthering good relations with all our
other suppliers and customers alike. So now we're
all ready to move on into the spring.
We were pleased to be with
our USA dealer showing of a 5 & 6 string Enfield.
Thanks to Brian at LowEnd Distribution
for taking care of things so well.
If you are interested in sampling
an Enfield in the USA then please head over to www.thelowend.net
& have a word with Brian he is a great guy & will
do all he can to help you out.
Hugh McDonald picked up his
new Enfield 5 string & was explaining how much his
engineer was liking the Enfield in the XLR mode. This
allows the full passive signal to go straight to the
desk whilst automatically bypassing the pre amp. This
gives everything you need to get the ultimate signal
to the desk giving the engineer & Hugh much more control.

We are working on another batch
of 10 Enfields at the moment. I think they are all
spoken for so if you are looking to try one out then
please get in contact with me or Brian at LowEnd to
arrange a demo.
Speak soon.
Martin.
December 2008
Last month started with a call
from Hugh McDonald Asking a few questions about the
Enfield basses.
Hugh is the original recording
& long time live bassist with Bon Jovi. He was there
from the start to the present day.
To say Hugh is just a bass
player would be a gross understatement, he’s held
in great esteem among the Bass playing and recording
industry.
Hugh ordered a 5 string in
sunburst with ebony fingerboard, and Maple top.
On receiving his bass Hugh
exclaimed how the Super 8 pick up really delivered
as well as calling the Enfields “The Aston Martin
of basses”
My thanks go out to Hugh and
Kelli his wife for there hospitality in sharing there
home on my recent visit.
On another note, we are getting
ready for NAMM in mid January so I’ll be sure to let
you know how we got on.
Our annual Christmas break
is from December 24th to January the 5th.

Speak soon.
Martin.
November 2008
Wow! What a show...
Thanks to everyone who showed
up to see, hear & play the Enfield’s at the Music
Live show this last weekend.
It was truly great to see you
all & get all the feedback.
We had 6 new basses on show
including our very first 6 string which really did
steal the show.
Please take a look on the updated
gallery page for a look at what we’ve been up to over
the last couple of months.
Thanks to our friend TM Stevens
who come over to say hi & check out the Enfield’s,
when he heard the Enfield in Split Coil (Red) position
he just said “ Well... That’s a P... right there”

Quick news flash for early
November. We are now on our own stand at Music Live.
Just to let you know that we
are now going to be exhibiting on our own stand at
Music Live at the NEC. 7th, 8th, & 9th of November.
There just was not enough space
at the Bass Merchants stand so it made sense to get
our own.
So feel free to visit us on
stand A94 it would be great to see you in person and
show you what we've been doing over the last few months.
Speak soon. Martin

August 2008
Welcome
to our new web-site & all things news related with
regard to Enfield Basses.
Here we aim to keep you up to date with what’s happening
& what’s coming up in the future.
This month we’ve had our first official review in
Guitar Buyer mag & are very pleased/relieved that
they seemed to like what we had made.
Nick (who reviewed it) is a pro bass player himself
& was able to take a couple of basses out on the road,
so the test was a good way of us getting some invaluable
feedback as well as some much needed publicity.
Many thanks to David & Nick for all their efforts
(& a great lunch) Please feel free to have a read
(now in the reviews section) & let us know what you
think.

Speak
soon. Martin.
